Drying is a basic operation of chemical engineering whose objective is to reduce the amount of liquid (generally water) in a solid material by applying heat energy. The reduction of the water content in liquids is carried out by other operations, such as evaporation or dehydration.
For this, we have the necessary tools and experience to optimize the design of drying equipment, by studying mass and energy balances, mass and heat transfer kinetics; taking into account the drying requirements and specific characteristics of each product. A multitude of variables influence the drying process, which is why we also have a laboratory to carry out tests with which to study the specific behavior of each material.
The equipment can be classified into different types. At Grupo Vento we will advise you on the choice. We have installed trommels, STVI, STR, band, fluid bed, tray and experimental dryers. The main applications of drying are in the food and chemical industry (conservation, process), as well as in the environmental sector (stabilization of sludge, preparation for recovery...).
