Absorption is a basic operation of chemical engineering, which consists of the separation of one or more components (solutes) of a gaseous mixture by transferring them to a liquid solvent, depending on their solubility.
This type of operation is used in the chemical industry, to purify products or in the manufacturing process itself. But its use is even more widespread in the environmental sector, to avoid the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere.
At Grupo Vento we have extensive experience in the design and manufacture of absorption columns for air washing. In most of our projects, the objective has been exclusively purification (H2S, NOx ...), but on other occasions the purified compound has represented a return on investment for the client (VOCs, methanol and so on).
